New Resort Opening: Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay

With beautiful contemporary bures and stunning lagoon and ocean views, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay opens on Fiji’s main island on April 2. Momi Bay is a man-made lagoon situated between main island hot spots, Denarau and the Coral Coast. Now, the main island of Fiji finally has an overwater villa experience! This is the first resort of its kind on the main island of Fiji to feature overwater villas. It is located on the western coast of Viti Levu on Momi Bay, just about a 45-minute drive from Nadi Airport.

Stay

The contemporary-styled resort features 250 rooms in total, including 114 free-standing Bures (22 of the free-standing bures will be “Overwater Bure Villas”) and 136 Standard Deluxe Rooms.

The dreamy overwater villas will feature a private deck and direct access to the lagoon on the man-made lagoon. There’s even an overwater Royal Suite option! The Duplex Lagoon and Ocean Front Bures give guests an exclusive experience full of romance whether it be a honeymoon, anniversary or romantic getaway.

Accommodations feature a private balcony or terrace, views of the pool, lagoon or ocean, high-speed internet access, and a work desk (if you really must!). Couples traveling together, families, and groups will have the option to stay in the Standard Deluxe Rooms with connecting rooms so groups can stay together.

  

Relax

In addition to the overwater experience and stunning ocean and lagoon views, guests will have access to three large swimming pools including an adult-only infinity pool, a swim up bar, and a children’s pool.

There are a variety of activities to keep active while on vacation including kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, two tennis courts, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, fishing tours, beach volleyball, and outdoor chess. The Quan Spa has everything to make you forget your worries from massages and facials to a sauna and steam room. The spa has six treatment rooms and two couple’s rooms with a plunge pool. There’s also an on-site beauty salon with hair styling, makeup, and nail service.

If looking to stay fit even on vacation, there’s a health club fully with cardio and resistance equipment.  And if you like to shop, you’ll love looking at their retail shops!

Fiji Marriott has several excellent dining options guests can choose from including restaurants ranging from seafood, Mediterranean, Asian as well as a coffee shop and deli. Enjoy Goji Kitchen & Bar for Asian and Indian food with authentic, local favorites combined with fruit juices and cocktails. Or have a night out with the casual elegant oceanfront seafood grill with fresh catches of the day and craft cocktails. A pool grill and bar offers Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

Parents will rest assure the kids are taken care of at Turtles Kids’ Club with a variety of activities to keep your child entertained and loving Fiji. If you venture off the resort, families and kids can enjoy a water thrill at Big Bula Waterpark. At Kula Eco Park, you can enjoy the wildlife sanctuary and see how it preserves animals found in the Fiji Islands.
