Family Fun at Toberua
Family Getaway Planning? Family Fun is Calling at Toberua
As we mentioned earlier this month on our blog, September is a good time to plan your 2016 spring break or summer family getaway! We gave you options regarding luxury family-friendly resorts here [LINK], here [LINK] and here [LINK] and now we’d like to give you one more excellent option to consider that we highly recommend.
Toberua Island Resort is a deluxe family-friendly hideaway situated in the Lomaiviti Group, which is east of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu. Located in the middle of the country’s adventure capital, Pacific Harbor, the island getaway will keep the family busy with numerous activities and great food, as well as spacious accommodations and plenty of time to relax on the gorgeous white sandy beaches of Fiji.
Traditional Beachfront Bures
At Toberua you’ll find recently renovated luxury accommodations for the whole family. The best thing for families is that the bures allow for two adults plus up to three kids. And kids under 16 years stay for free! The bures can be configured in different ways to suit even a large family’s needs. Each bure also comes with its own dedicated butler.
Accommodations range from the Tropical Oceanfront Bure at 452 square feet, which sleeps four to the Lagilagi Oceanfront Villa at 2,110 square feet, which sleeps seven. The resort has only 16 bures, adding to the seclusion of the island. Premium and Deluxe Oceanfront Bures are found at the edge of the water with stunning views and 27 feet ceilings. The bures have private indoor/outdoor bathrooms that everyone raves about as well as a patio deck, hammock, beach chairs, refrigerator, and tea and coffee.
Fiji’s Adventure Capital
As we mentioned above, with the resort being located perfectly in the middle of Fiji’s adventure capital, Pacific Harbor, you can be as busy or relaxed as you want. Maybe the children would like to enjoy their personal nanny (for children 12 years and under) from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. while Mom and Dad check out some local history, golf at the low tide golf course, windsurf, play volleyball, or just relax under a palm tree by the pool. The whole family can visit a nearby village to meet the friendly locals or snorkel and picnic at a deserted island. A must is an eco friendly a visit to Bird Island and the Nasamila Mangrove Forest.
For the avid divers, there are excellent dives sites nearby. In fact, more than 20 dive sites are close! You’ll see Coral heads and 60-foot walls and crevasses. If you are a beginner, the resort offers a PADI dive instructor to learn how to dive.
Dining Experience
Toberua has an outstanding Fijian chef that cooks up many diverse food options, which you can enjoy them from a variety of places around the island. Just imagine eating lunch under a palm tree with a variety of locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh-caught fish, New Zealand beef and lamb, freshly baked bread, and yummy dessert. You and the family will enjoy special pop-up market experiences as well. Delicious meals include a continental and hot buffet breakfast, a three-course lunch, and a four-course dinner.
Renovated Spa
At Toberua, you’ll find a beautifully renovated tropical spa complete with certified massage therapists using Pure Fiji products, with a range of massages and beauty treatments. The aromatherapy massage products from Pure Fiji uses a blend of exotic Fijian oils, which soothes and replenishes skin while giving it nutrients. There’s even an option to choose an unlimited spa package for your entire vacation. You can pick from a three, four, or five day unlimited spa packages. Each treatment will last 30 minutes and you can do as many as will fit into a day at the resort! Talk about getting a break for the parents! Your kids probably won’t even know you are gone since their Fijian nanny will occupy them.
