Six Reasons it is Paradise at Paradise Cove in Fiji

Paradise Cove Resort in Fiji is absolute paradise! Paradise Cove, just two years old, is a newer resort in the Yasawas and a can’t-miss stop for families. The resort is situated on a cove in Naukacuvu Island, which is part of the Yasawa island group to the northwest of the main island in Fiji.

We’ve received a lot of comments from guests after returning from paradise. Here are the top reasons guests were in love with Paradise Cove—from the spacious accommodations for families, the kid’s club, and the numerous activities to the great food and pampering galore!

  1. Spacious rooms to stretch out for families and luxurious Paradise Suites catering to adults only.

Both the Two-Bedroom Garden Villas and Beachfront Villas are perfect for families, with one and a half bathrooms and ample space. The Garden Villas are positioned a few feet behind the Beachfront Villas. The Beachfront Villas have a gorgeous view of the ocean. The Villas come with an outdoor balcony and outdoor shower, which is a special trademark of the resort. Check out this nice video of the Two-Bedroom Garden Villa!

For the ultimate family luxury vacation, check out the One- or Two-Bedroom Private Luxury Beach Houses, complete with a private beach directly overlooking the water. Talk about ultimate privacy! A separate staff will transport you to and from the main resort as needed.

The Beach Houses have ample indoor and outdoor space, including full kitchens, and open-air bathrooms. In the mornings, your breakfast will be delivered, and hot options will be prepared for you at your beach house by the staff. You’ll also get a complementary mini bar that’s replenished daily.

The Paradise Suites are on the adults side of the resort next to the 1 Bedroom Beachfront Villas. They are spacious and very private offering couples an affordable luxury retreat with their own private plunge pools, stunning 4 poster beds and an out door swinging daybed that is fully covered from the sun. These are not to be missed. They are also adults only. (See pictures below that we took in June)

  1. Excellent diving a few minutes from the resort

Fiji is well known throughout the world as having some of the best diving spots. The rich- and brilliant-colored soft coral reefs are protected and fed by nutrient rich currents. You’ll see thousands of species of fish and invertebrates. Paradise Cove is lucky to have more than 30 world-class diving sites just a few minutes away.

The resort has it’s own PADI dive shop for any equipment you might need (or you can bring your own), and it offers courses. If you aren’t certified, you can start and complete a PADI dive course in three to four days. The dive instructors are local Fijians who know the waters better than anyone. The dive team has some great packages, including unlimited diving while on your vacation.

  1. Top notch Pacific Island fare

The food is definitely a highlight at Paradise Cove. The Black Rock restaurant is the place to be for breakfast, a la carte lunches, and evening meals. You may find yourself eating fresh walu (a local fish) salad with tropical fruit paw paw relish for lunch. Yum! Or coriander and calamari linguine, or prawn stir fry, to name a few. The five-course dinner options change every two days. The kitchen can also cater to vegetarians and guests on gluten-free diets.

The team uses local ingredients from local farmers and then purchases from the mainland of Fiji to present fresh Fijian meals. The island also grows a lot of its own fruit, like paw paw, pineapple, bananas, mango, passion fruit, along with many different herbs and vegetables.

You’ll be serenaded to the tunes of the Fijian tropical island band and will have the chance to mingle with other guests from all over the world with the shared seating option at the restaurant. There’s also plenty of private seating as well.

  1. Fun kid activities

The kids club is available for children three years or older. During the day, kids might learn to cook, do a crab and treasure hunt, snorkel, ride tractors, read books, enjoy pool time, or eat. During dinner, the club holds a nightly supervised “kids dinner” and then puts on movies and other activities in the evening.

You can take your kids to the club at the following times:

10:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

2:00–5:00 p.m.

6:00–9:00 p.m.

If your child is five or older and can swim, then “The Crooked Coconut Kids Club” is for them! Your child will do similar activities to those in the regular kids club, but they will have more opportunities to swim. Kids can spend as much or as little time in the kids club as they want, and for some activities, parents are able to participate as well.

  1. There’s a lot to do

If you have an active family, there will be plenty of activities to keep everyone busy! You can attend yoga classes (even kid classes), get a massage, paddle board, kayak, play volleyball, snorkel, fish, swim with the manta rays, hike the island, and visit a Fijian village to learn about local life.

6. The Scenery is PARADISE

Take a look at the picturesque beaches and azure waters that are perfect for all your sun and sand activities.

Getting here

You can get here by boat, seaplane, water taxi, or helicopter. A complimentary bus will shuttle guests from Nadi Airport to Port Denarau, where most of the transfers to the Yasawas will take place.
