Resort Review – Navutu Stars Resort

Navutu Stars Resort is an adults only resort on the stunning island of Yaqeta in the Yasawa Island chain of Fiji. The resort is reachable by a daily high speed catamaran or chartered seaplane.  Navutu Stars Resort was the winner of Trip Advisor’s “Travelers Choice” Award for 2011.

The resort houses a maximum of 20 guests in its 10 bures (bungalows) scattered along the 3 bays on the South Eastern side of the island getting sunrises and sunsets.  The resorts Italian owners have put their young funky stamp on the traditional Fijian resort. With fresh white walls and bright pops of color, homemade breads and pasta daily,  Navutu Stars Resort is in a class of its own.

Dining at Navutu Stars Resort is an experience all on its own. The chefs at Navutu have been trained by the owners and guest chefs to ensure that dining is one of the highlights at Navutu. From the local fruits, fresh fish caught by villagers, local produce grown in their own organic gardens the dining at Navutu is sure to please. Guests have 3 categories of accommodation to choose from, Garden Bures, Beachfront Bures and Grand Bures.

All Bures are fitted with a King size bed, large double stone vanities and shower, open living room with a wet bar, deck area with an over sized inviting outdoor daybed, CD players and a collection of relaxing music and books.

The nightly rates include much more than just the room; gourmet breakfast daily, 2 bottles of water in Bure daily, fresh tropical fruit platter on arrival, 30 minute massage per person, non motorized water sports,  salt water pool, free internet and laundry service. Prices range from USD$351 per couple/ per night for the Garden Bure; $490 per couple/per night for Beachfront Bure; $597 for the Grand Bures. Guests can add a meal plan for $76 per person per day for 2 course lunch and 3 course dinner daily.
